Our Baby at 31 Weeks:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.(courtesy of www.babycenter.com)
Hey Brooke, It's Karen (Gartner...used to be Wright!) I feel so bad for your bad sciatica and thought I would give you a suggestion that has REALLY helped me- rubbing Lavender essential oil (a few drops) mixed with extra virgin olive oil all the way down your spine, start at the base of your head and go around the backs of your ears, out to our shoulder blades and out to your hips and down both buttocks and down to the bottom of your tailbone. You can leave this on or wait 15 min. and take a hot shower. You can apply this as often as you like. I would suggest as least doing it twice a day. It has helped me SO much, I hope it helps for you too! Love, Karen
ReplyDeleteKaren, first of all, SO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU!!! Secondly, thank you for your advice! I am willing to try any at-home remedies for sure. So basically, I just pour lavendar olive oil all over my body. ;) Just kidding. I will follow your specific instructions! Take care!
